Personal Information

In a land not far from here toward the latter part of the middle of the last century was born a man, a man of greatness and wisdom. He lived as a boy mainly in the dreary land of London, England and he hated school and all things authoritarian, he was a rebel, a cad and a warrior of the code. This boy grew and grew and became a strong and handsome man who they called Little Mo, Mo Cox is his name. He was the smartest man in the land and had learned Engineering at University and became the greatest software developer in existence. Little Mo the dev grew from junior developer and quickly climbed the ladder of the software world from dev to senior dev to lead dev and finally to the great heights of Manager (oooh i feel dizzy already!).

Many great institutions did he battle for, with his keyboard in one hand and his mouse in the other, he sat and stared and the great box of lights for hours on end, for days on end, weeks on end and sometimes years on end! He toiled and worked those soft developer hands and plied his trade for many a long years. He worked during the day and through the night on his own tasks, toiled relentlessly through lines and lines of enemies but his debugging skills were immense and he beat those enemies and produced the greatest code on earth, and in the heavens. He became know throughout the lands as Mighty Mo of the dev world. Nobody could match his greatness and prowess with the weapons in his hands, he could wield them better than any other dev known to man, he was revered by all.

Technology Interests

Mo has worked as a developer for over 25 years, using technologies as old as VB5/6, Pascal and many others. Technology stack has been mainly Microsoft stack using .Net Framework 1 up to the current .Net Core release. Since the advent of js frontend frameworks Mo has worked with Angular 2 to 10, React and Typescript. WASM has been the latest technology and Mo these days likes to do all or most of his personal projects using Blazor WASM.

Mo has had several personal projects over the years which he has used to up-skill and learn new technologies. Some of those projects range from Document Management System (went from VB5 to .Net Framework) to a Social Media Eduction site (went from MVC4 to Angular 8/10 to React and then to Blazor).

Personal Interests

Mo is an avid language learner and studies or has studied a diverse range of languages. He learned a little French at school, Spanish from living in Gibraltar for 2 years, German from Living in Switzerland for 2 years, Chinese for living 3 months intensive schooling in Beijing and 3 visits to a Russian language institute in St petersburg in Russia. He is still rubbish at them all but endeavors to improve his skills in these. Mo Also wants to learn Japanese and casually uses websites to try and learn this horrifically difficult language.

Mo is also a daily chess player and plays on a site everyday. He reached a rating of just under 1700 but old age and a pickled brain from to much Port has seen his rating drop to round 1300; he still enjoys playing though.

The Future

And the Lord said unto me 'Don't forget your lottery ticket today Mighty Mo, for you shall win another £2 for your £20 investment'. Looks like I am going to have to work for the rest of my life to pay for the lottery. 😊
